Do you want to work with the IMF? Applications are invited from qualified candidates to apply for IMF Internship Program 2021. The internship is hosted at the IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C – USA, under the Fund Internship Program (FIP). This is a highly competitive program. Approximately 50 participants from around the world are recruited every year.
The Fund Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity to international students to gain an insider experience of the integrated; member country focused mandate and work of the IMF. You will work closely under an experienced IMF colleague’s supervision on a current issue or research question of importance to our members.

Eligibility Criteria
Students completing a PhD:
- A candidate must be registered as an active student (i.e., r continuing PhD studies after the internship).
- Candidate’s age must be below 32 at the start of the internship.
Students completing a master’s degree:
- A candidate must be registered as an active student at the start of the internship (not yet graduated)
- A candidate must be under 28 at the commencement of the internship
Applying to the Legal Department Internship:
A candidate must have obtained LLM, J.D, or higher equivalent degrees.
A candidate must be under 32 at the commencement of the internship.

The last date to apply for the IMF Fund Internship Program 2021 is February 15th, 2021.
